How Do I Arrange A Funeral?

At times of bereavement our Parish makes every effort to support and accompany families during this difficult period.

In the first instance, next of kin should please contact a funeral director who will liaise with this Parish Office directly.  There are some files at the bottom of this page that may help you but when you are visited at home, these documents and other helpful information will be discussed with you.

If you wish to have a Requiem Mass, a Priest is required to celebrate this.  He would normally meet with the family prior to the Mass to offer comfort and discuss readings, music etc.

If you choose to have a Funeral Service (without Holy Communion), an ordained Deacon or Funeral Lay Minister would conduct the Service.   He would normally meet with the family prior to the Service to offer comfort and discuss readings, music etc.

Our Parish has a Bereavement Care Team who are trained to support you at this really difficult time and beyond.  If you would like to be put in touch with them, please contact the office on 0151 486 4885.
