Guidelines for the Submission of Mass Intentions

As at 27 July 2018, we have 88 Mass Intentions on our record list.

Mass intentions submitted to the office will be celebrated at the nearest available date.  Please complete the white envelopes at the back of church or just pop along to our office.

Of late, more and more people have been wanting to know exactly what day their intention would be remembered which has led to masses being booked-in sometimes over 12 months in advance!

We continue to have a large number of mass intentions outstanding.  Intentions can be submitted to the office, even with the request for a specific date but without the definitive expectation that this will occur but with the knowledge that it will be celebrated as close to or as near as possible the date.

In order for us to provide for unexpected life changing moments that need our prayer, events such as funerals take priority.

As a guideline, it can take up to 16 weeks after submission before an intention appears in the newsletter.

Please note, multiple mass intentions received for the same individual may be distributed to other parishes within our pastoral area or to our local retired clergy.  All mass intentions are honoured.

Thank you for your understanding.
